Susan Dalton Martin

Mrs. Susan Dalton Martin, 85, of Luthersville, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022, at her home.

Mrs. Martin was born August 15, 1937, in Newnan, daughter of the late Byrom Young Dalton and Edith Dean Kilgore Dalton. A resident of Meriwether County most of her life, she was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Newnan and enjoyed singing. Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and loved crafting and making jewelry.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Martin; sons, Johnny Martin and his wife Brenda, Rev. Byrom Martin and his wife Carolyn, all of Luthersville; grandchildren, Patrick Martin, Patricia Martin, David Martin, Ashley Simpson, Steven Simpson, Jason McCurry, Anna Lopez-Galvez, Matthew Martin, Caleb Martin, Alex Martin; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Andy Martin and her daughter, Pam Simpson.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jason Settle will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
