Susan Gaddy Hanner

Mrs. Susan Gaddy Hanner, age 71, of LaGrange and formerly of Hogansville, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026, at her home.

Mrs. Hanner was born October 28, 1954, in Coweta County, daughter of the late John Benjamin Gaddy and Myrtie Lancaster Gaddy. A 1972 graduate of Hogansville High School, she lived in Hogansville most of her life, was a graduate of West Georgia Tech, and was employed as a licensed practical nurse at West Georgia Medical Center for 30 years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Anglela Montondo (Christian), Karen Hanner, and Michael Hanner (Amanda), all of LaGrange; grandchildren, Isaiah Michael Montondo, Aurora Hanner, Carra Bella Hanner, and Kailey Lopez; sisters, Janie Chipman and Barbara Webb, both of Hogansville, Nellie Barkhouse of Goose Creek, SC; and brother, Chuck Gaddy of LaGrange. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee James “Pete” Hanner, jr.; granddaughter, Brenna Marie Traylor, and her sisters and brothers, Thelma Peterson, Aubrey Gaddy, Bennie Gaddy, Hazel Freeman, Arnold “Preacher” Gaddy, and Clinton Gaddy.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 19, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with the Reverend Jim Butler officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Sunday, prior to the service.
