Susan Able

Mrs. Susan Able, 69, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Able was born April 29, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late Melvin and Elsie Mansfield Britt. A resident of Meriwether County for 22 years, she was a member of Greenville Baptist Church, enjoyed gardening, loved to cook, and was a die-hard University of Georgia fan.. Survivors include her husband, Randy Able of Greenville; son and daughter in-law, Casey and Linda Dean of LaGrange; grandchildren, Savannah Smith of West Point and Cole Calhoun of LaGrange; and great-grandchildren, Brady Smith and Tripp Carter. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Renee Calhoun. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Jonathan Porter officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 3 Friday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
