MRS. SUE STALEY BOWLES
Mrs. Sue Moon Staley Bowles, 88, of Hogansville, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 28, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Max McCord will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
Mrs. Bowles was born November 14, 1919, in Randolph county, Alabama, daughter of the late Jesse and Annie Satterwhite Moon. She lived in Hogansville most of her life, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member of Highland Baptist Church, where she had been active in the WMU. Wife of the late Lloyd Bowles, she had been actively involved at the Hogansville Senior Center and delivered Meals on Wheels for a number of years.
Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, Wendell and Margaret Staley of Sharpsburg; four grandchildren, Gary and Karen Staley of Guntersville, AL, Jan and Tom Meunier of Orlando, FL, Greg Staley of Houston, TX, and Michael Staley of Athens; five great-grandchildren, Joseph Staley of Atlanta, Lt. Danny Staley of Kings Bay, Robby Staley of Huntsville, AL, Kristie Gentry and Tiffany Meunier of Orlando; and a great-great-granddaughter, Hannah Mueller.
The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
