Steven Ray Shaw

Mr. Steve Shaw, 61, of Columbus, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017, at Oak View Nursing Home in Waverly Hall. A resident of LaGrange most of his life, Mr. Shaw was employed in construction for many years and was an expert trim carpenter. He was Pentecostal by faith, loved baseball, and enjoyed bass fishing. Survivors include his sons and daughter in-law, Matt and Kelly Shaw of Monroe and Justin Shaw of LaGrange; his mother, Billie Jo Shaw of LaGrange; brothers and sisters in-law, Alan and Darlene Shaw of Lanett, AL, Stanley and Tracy Shaw of LaGrange; and grandchildren, Paisley Shaw, Laken Shaw and Lucas Robert Shaw. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Shaw, and his brother, Michael Shaw. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 4, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Randall Hodge will officiate and interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
