Stephen D. Parten

Mr. Stephen Darryl Parten, 60 of Greenville, GA, went to be with God December 12, 2022, at his home.

Steve, born January 4th, 1962, in Warm Springs, GA, was the son of late Jack and Mary Alice Gilson Parten. He was a resident of Meriwether County for 12 years, worked 19 years as a Coweta County Deputy Sheriff, and 12+ years for Vital Care Ambulance.

Steve is survived by his wife, Sandrah Parten of Greenville, GA; daughter and son-in law, Michelle and Justin Matthews of Franklin; step-sons Jacob Haynes and his Fiancé Page Thomaston of Thomaston, GA; Jesse Haynes of Anniston, AL; brother and sister-in-law, Stan and Kim Parten of Sharpsburg, GA; 6 grandchildren; one niece; and three nephews.

Steve is also survived by a large community of friends who, along with his family, love him strongly and will miss him dearly. There's never been anyone quite like Steve; his personality was special, quick witted and for sure the best daily dose of smarty pants attitude everyone looked forward to. He was truly in a league all his own and made our lives better with him in it.

Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m., Thursday, December 29, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with the Reverend TJ Boyd officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 Thursday afternoon.
