MR. STANLEY D. BOWEN Mr. Stanley D. Bowen, 53, of LaGrange, died Monday, April 4, 2011, at West Georgia Medical Center. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Nick Pilgrim officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night. Mr. Bowen was born April 2, 1958, in LaGrange, where he lived most of his life. A 1976 graduate of Hogansville High School, he lived in Hogansville from 1974 until 1983, was an honorary member of Hogansville American Legion Post 152, and was a member of Wehadkee Baptist Church in LaGrange. He was co-founder of Botex Sales, Inc. in Hogansville. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Donna Bowen of LaGrange; daughter, Jessica Bowen, also of LaGrange; son, Justin Bowen of Hogansville; his father, Reese C. (Buck) Bowen, Jr. of Hogansville; sister and brother in-law, Dale and Walter Smith of Villa Rica; brother and sister in-law, Jeffrey and Amanda Bowen of Hogansville; and grandchildren, Katelynn Phillips, Jacob Rice, Madison Bowen, and Bryan Bowen. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Echols Bowen. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Wednesday night, April 6th, at Claude A.
