MRS. SHIRLEY LASHLEY Mrs. Shirley Jean Tarwater Lashley, 56, of LaGrange, died Monday, April 13, 2009, at West Georgia Medical Center. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 16, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Tina Deese and the Reverend Ray Tarwater will officiate and interment will be in the Corinth Cemetery. Mrs. Lashley was born July 27, 1952, in Troup county, daughter of the late Will Tarwater, Jr. and the late Sara Berry Tarwater. She was a lifelong resident of Troup and Heard counties and was a member of the Cathedral of Praise in LaGrange. Survivors include daughters, Elizabeth Jean and Dexter Whitfield, Faith Ann and David Haney; son, Lamar Will and Christy Lashley, all of Hogansville; brother and sister in-law, Charles and Frances Tarwater of LaGrange; special friend, Charles Carnes of Atlanta; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Render (Virgil) Lashley, Sr., and her son, Tom Render (Tommy) Lashley, Jr. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 9 Wednesday night, April 15th, at Claude A.
