Mrs. Shirley Gaddy Davis, 74, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Davis was born September 26, 1946, in Hogansville, daughter of the late H. W. and Roberta Flournoy Gaddy. A lifelong resident of Troup County, she was a member of Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange and retired from the Troup County School System. Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Sherrie and Lee Foster of Grantville; sons and daughter in-law, Steven Shiflett of Hogansville, Rodney and Linda Shiflett of LaGrange; sister and brother in-law, Diane and Gene Clay of Woodbury; grandchildren, Michael Foster, Aric Foster, April Shiflett, Devin Shiflett; and seven great-grandchildren, Ava Foster, Madisyn Foster, Kyndall Foster, McKynlee Foster, Lawsyn Foster, Noah Hamby, Amelia Shiflett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershell Davis. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 18, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with the Reverend Jody Mitchell officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home for viewing and to sign the guest book from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 17. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
