Mrs. Shirley A. Caldwell, 84. of Woodbury, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Sacred Journey Hospice in Newnan.
Mrs. Caldwell was born January 6, 1938, in Kirksville, MO, daughter of the late Fred and Bessie Truitt Anders. A veteran of service in the U.S. Navy, she had lived in Woodbury for 35 years and was a homemaker. She loved being with her grandchildren and was a firm believer in the power of prayer.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Caldwell of Woodbury; her children, Tim Smith and his wife Cindi of Lynnville, TN, Rochelle Looney and her husband Christopher of Dawsonville, and Michael Caldwell of Manchester; grandchildren, Chad Smith, Chase Smith Savannah Smith, John Looney, Robert Looney Samantha Looney, Owen Caldwell, Justin Smith, Jason Smith, Jonathan Smith; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Bruce Smith.
The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, at the graveside in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County.
The family will greet friends at the cemetery before and after the service.
