MRS. SHIRLENE J. STITCHER
Mrs. Shirlene J. Stitcher, 72, of Hogansville, died Sunday, May 22, 2011, at West Georgia Medical Center.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 25, at Louise Baptist Church. The Reverend Jason Veitch, the Reverend Eddie Veal, and the Reverend Orman Harcrow will officiate and interment will be in the Stitcher Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night.
Mrs. Stitcher was born June 5, 1938, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Prentis Lamar Jackson and Lenice Harrison Jackson. She was employed by Playtex for 20 years, by West Georgia Medical Center for 10 years, and retired after 20 years of service with The Children's Clinic and Dr. Almand. She was a faithful member of Louise Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Lawrence Stitcher of Hogansville; her children and their spouses, Patricia and Charles Fuller, Teresa and Richard Fuller, Denise and Jerry Ivey, all of Hogansville, Dennis and Ann Pike of LaGrange, Joe and Audrey Pike of Pine Mountain Valley, Joanne and Walter Capes of LaGrange; Bobby and Lorene Stitcher, Gail Stitcher, Brenda and Danny Chatham, Kenneth Stitcher, Lorie and Robbie Johnson, all of Hogansville, and Tanya Hall of LaGrange; brothers and sisters, Charles and Hilda Jackson of Manchester, Judy Mingo of Bellingham, WA, Joyce and Eddie Veal, Shirley and Buddy Moon, Howard and Elvie Wade, all of Hogansville; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
