Sherrie Cranston Meacham

Sherrie Cranston Meacham, 70, of Lebanon, Oregon and a former resident of Hogansville, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023.

Mrs. Meacham was born January 25, 1953, in Miami, Florida, daughter of the late Freddie Howington Cranston and the late Buford Cranston. She moved to Hogansville in 1959 and was a 1971 graduate of Hogansville High School. Sherrie had a gifted voice and sang in the high school chorus as well as at private functions. She and her husband, David, moved to Lebanon in the late 1990's and were a driving team that handled cross country freight.

Survivors include her son, Steven Scantlin; daughter, Melissa Meacham; grandchildren, Sid and Abby; nieces, Gwen Whittington (Scott), Michelle Johnston (Chris), Judith Cunningham; and nephew, Kevin Cunningham (Della). She is also survived by her lifelong friend, Patricia Janney, who she considered to be a sister. In addition to her mother and father, Sherrie was preceded in death by her husband, David Meacham; and her brothers, Richard Cunningham and Bill Cranston.

A memorial service is not being planned at this time.
