Miss Sheila Ann McLendon, 50, of Grantville, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021, at her home. Sheila was born April 14, 1971, in Abilene, Texas, daughter of the late Robert Lee McLendon and the late Kathy Bass McLendon. A resident of Coweta County most of her life, she was a graduate of East Coweta High School, was employed for several years at the Rutledge Center in Newnan, and attended Springhill Baptist Church in Troup County. Sheila never met a stranger and loved everyone, enjoyed coloring and making latch hook rugs, and loved being called "Aunt." Survivors include her sisters, Tammy Storey and her husband Greg Storey of Moreland, Connie Stoyles and her husband Robert Stoyles of Grantville; brother, Robert McLendon, Jr. and his wife Christy McLendon of Grantville; nieces and nephews, Morgan Hartfree, Damien McLendon, Vanity McLendon, Zachary McLendon, Hunter McLendon, Brian McLendon, Koby Storey, Dalton McLendon, Michael McLendon; great-niece, Brooklyn Hartfree; her maternal grandmother, Sybil Harrison; and several aunts and uncles. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 26, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jody Mitchell will officiate and interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
