Mrs. Sheila McGlamory, 74, of the Lone Oak Community of Meriwether County, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Mrs. McGlamory was born September 15, 1946, in Atlanta, daughter of the late James David Howard, Sr. and Dorothy Harris Howard. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she was employed for many years at the Hillside Division of Milliken and Company. She enjoyed crocheting, completing crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, and watching the Oxygen and Investigation channels.
Survivors include her children, Lisa Ferrell of Lone Oak, Billy and Gina McGlamory, Tim and Tammy McGlamory all of LaGrange, Jan McGlamory of Luthersville, Denise Sanders of South Carolina; brothers, Donald Howard of Morrow, David Howard of Marietta; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren with two soon to arrive; seven nieces and nephews; and her cats, Luna and Princess. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William W. McGlamory, Sr.; step-mother, Annie Howard; sister, Denise Ferguson; brother, James D. (Jimmy) Howard; son in-law, Brian Ferrell; and grandson, Cordero McGlamory.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Monday, October 26, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Winston Skinner and the Reverend Kory Trinrud officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 Monday afternoon.
