Shawn Ryan Johnson

Shawn Ryan Johnson, 28, of Luthersville, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center. Shawn was born September 4, 1990 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and he worked for Jeff McCoy Construction and Grading in Luthersville. Shawn loved the outdoors and spending time with his son. He was always helping people and would do anything to make them happy. He will always be remembered as having a heart of gold. Survivors include his son Ayden Johnson of McDonough; mother and stepfather, Connie and Roger Johnston of Luthersville; father and his fiancé, Don Johnson and Dot Gray of McDonough; brothers and sister in-law, Keith Johnson of Thomaston and Brian and Kristian Johnson of McDonough; and his son's mother, Brie Avery of McDonough. A memorial service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 26, in the chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with the Reverend Randall Hodge officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 3 Sunday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
