MRS. SHARON BAILEY Mrs. Sharon Nelson Bailey, 52, of the St. Marks Community of Meriwether County, died Saturday, August 9, 2014, at her home. Born April 16, 1962 in Savannah, Mrs. Bailey was the daughter of the late Berlen Nelson and Shirley Wardell Duncan. She loved crafts, never met a stranger, and had lived in St. Marks since 1997. Survivors include her mother, Shirley Duncan of St. Marks; brothers, Eric Nelson of St. Marks and Bryan Nelson of Omaha, NE.; sister and brother in-law, Nancy and Jim Sloman of Cedartown; and a nephew, Greg Nelson and his family of Rohnert Park, CA. She was preceded in death by her father, Berlen Nelson. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 15, 2014, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with Pastor Lance Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs at 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon.
