Shannon Nicole Banks

Mrs. Shannon Banks, 51, of Hogansville, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at her home.

Born November 29, 1971, in LaGrange, Mrs. Banks was the daughter of the late Cecil Berintine and Teresa Ann Matthews Coggins. She was a lifelong resident of West Georgia and lived in Hogansville for the past 30 years. She was a hard worker, loved animals, and would always fight for what she believed in.

Survivors include her fiancé, Ben Pruitt; daughter and son in-law, Nikki and Garrett Davis, all of Hogansville; sister, Heather Yearta; niece, Hannah Joli Yearta, both of Franklin; and grandchildren, Kallie Gamble, Aleah Gamble, Maylee Davis, and Houston Davis. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Banks was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Smith.

A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 27, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with Apostle Mary Edwards and Pastor Bienshell Willis officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., prior to the service.
