Sarah Glenn South

Sarah Glenn South, 74, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024, at her home.

Ms. South was born August 13, 1950, in Carroll County, daughter of the late Birl Cornelius South and Cloudie Benefield South. A lifelong resident of LaGrange, she retired from Duracell after 32 years of service and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in LaGrange. She dearly loved her family, enjoyed working, was very easy-going, enjoyed watching Little House on the Prairie, and was a Patrick Swayze fan. She also enjoyed visits to Brunswick and St. Simons Island.

Survivors include her daughters, Sarah Ann Ratliff and Barbara Ann Mobley, both of LaGrange; sisters, Emma Mae Whitley of Mauk, Wanda Gail Bradley of LaGrange, Cindy Louise Morris of Panama City Beach, FL; grandchildren, Crystal LeAnn McSpadden, Sadie Viola McSpadden, Cory Dewayne Mobley, Kimberly Michelle Worrel; and great-grandchildren, Harmony Alissa Henry and Gabriel Liam McSpadden.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 18, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Tommy Gamble will officiate and interment will be in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Bowdon.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Monday, prior to the service.
