Sara Timmons Satterwhite

Sara Timmons Satterwhite passed away at her home in Griffin, Georgia on Thursday, July 4, 2024. She was 90 years old.

Sara was born in LaGrange, Georgia on December 17, 1933. She is the daughter of the late William Thomas Timmons and Nellie Sprayberry Timmons. Sara lived most of her life in Snellville, Georgia. She was employed as a buyer's assistant for Sears Roebuck for thirty years prior to her retirement. Sara enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She was a talented seamstress and loved to shop. Sara's favorite past time was crocheting beautiful blankets to give to her family and friends.

Sara is survived by her children, Marie Fisher and Richard Satterwhite; daughter-in-law, Linda Satterwhite; grandchildren, David Fisher Jr., Joshua Fisher (Lisa), Jennifer Fisher (Jamie), and Christine Satterwhite; and her great grandchildren, Katie, Caleb, and Alyssa Formanek, Elizabeth and Madison Fisher, Isabel, Benjamin, Eva, and Michael Fisher, and Charlee Simpson. In addition to her parents, Sara was preceded in death by her children Elizabeth Wells, Harold Satterwhite, Jr. and Thomas Satterwhite; grandchildren, Christopher Sims and Angela Wells; and sisters, Eudora Timmons and Virginia House.

A private family memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, July 9, at the graveside in the Providence Cemetery in the Harrisonville Community of Troup County. Pastor Alex Montgomery will officiate.
