Sara Harrington Parrish

Mrs. Sara Harrington Parrish, 79, of the Louise Community of Troup County, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Parrish was born November 12, 1945, in Thomaston, daughter of the late Oliver and Dorothy Holley Harrington. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she retired after serving as a licensed nursing home administrator, was a charter member of Springhill Baptist Church, and was active in the ministry of the church. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Parrish and Simon Parrish of Atlanta, John Parrish and his fiancée Kendra Parrish of the Louise Community; daughter, Faith Jackson; former daughter in-law, Kayla Marie Parrish; grandchildren, MacKenzie Parrish, Kyle Parrish, Wyatt Fountain, Xander Williams, Liam Parrish; and her brother, James Harrington of the Louise Community. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William D. "Bill" Parrish.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 10, at Springhill Baptist Church. The Reverend Jody Mitchell will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 9th.
