MRS. SARA F. CARDEN Mrs. Sara Fuller Carden, 85, of the St. Marks Community of Meriwether County, died Monday, February 1, 2010, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 3, at Union Baptist Church at St. Marks. The Reverend Bill Smith will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. Born August 7, 1924, in Meriwether County, Mrs. Carden was the daughter of the late John Respess Fuller and the late Sallie Keith Fuller. She was a lifelong resident of Meriwether County, was a member of Union Baptist Church, and retired from the office of the Kex Division of Milliken and Co. She was the wife of the late Francis Howard Carden. Survivors include her sons and daughters in-law, Andy and Vivian Carden of Moreland and John and Carol Carden of St. Marks; brother, John Respess Fuller, Jr. and his wife, Lucy of Senoia; sister in-law, Magdalene Fuller of Hogansville; grandsons, Ben Carden of Moreland, Josh Carden of Atlanta, Greg and Robin Carden of St. Marks, Nicholas and Margaret Carden of Athens, and Jason Carden of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Sam Carden and Evan Carden of Moreland and Tyler Carden of St. Marks; and several nieces and nephews. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Tuesday night, February 2nd, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Services: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 3rd, at Union Baptist Church in the St. Marks Community of Meriwether County Interment: Union Baptist Church Cemetery
