MR. SAM WITHERS Mr. Samuel L. (Sam) Withers, 46, of Hogansville, died Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 2, at Corinth United Methodist Church. The Reverend Sheila Crowe, the Reverend Darris Baker, and the Reverend Amy Arnold will officiate and interment will be in the Corinth Cemetery. Mr. Withers was born March 1, 1963, in Charlotte, NC. He was a member of Oakmont Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, AL, and received his Eagle Scout award while a member of Troop 93, which was sponsored by the church. A resident of Hogansville for the past six years, he served fifteen years as an over-the-road truck driver for MS Carriers and US Express, and was recently employed by Papa John's Pizza in Newnan. Survivors include his parents, Bob and Betty Withers of Hogansville; sister and brother in-law, Becky and William Watson, Jr. of Thomaston; nephew, Will Watson of Thomaston; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Tuesday night, December 1st, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Services: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 2nd, at Corinth United Methodist Church Interment: Corinth Cemetery
