Sammy Edward Cole

Mr. Sammy Edward Cole, age 69, of Grantville, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024, at his home.

Sammy was born September 2, 1955, in Newnan, and married Darlene Kern Cole on August 18, 1978. His life was spent filled with love from his family. His heart always belonged to any animal around him, especially his girl dog, whom he now gets to spend his time with. He loved to spend his days listening to music and singing silly songs to anyone who would listen. He enjoyed drawing, loved all things related to history and could teach anyone about the Civil War.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Cole; sons, Scottie Cole, Daniel Cole, Jesse Cole; grandchildren, Madison Endicott (Jay), Destiny Braun (Earl), Dale Cole, Isabella Hodges, Alyza Cole, Logan Cole, Gracie Cole, S.J. Cole, Leo Cole, Evelyn Cole, Evander Lang; great-grandchildren, Aria Endicott, Waylon Endicott, Elijah Braun, Avianna Murrow, Amyri Murrow; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sammy is preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Adams Cole; father, Roy Walter Cole, sister, Faye Cole; brother, Jimmy Cole; grandson, Danny Cole; and daughter in-law, Tiffany Cole.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, at Change Church in Grantville. Pastor T J Boyd will officiate and interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 11.
