Mrs. Ruth Corbin Tucker, 86, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018, at LaGrange Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Tucker was born June 26, 1931, in Greenville, South Carolina, daughter of the late Clinton and Bertha Chastain. A resident of Hogansville for the past two years, she lived in the Atlanta area most of her life, was a homemaker, and was Baptist by faith.
Survivors include her sons and daughter in-law, Tommy and Nancy Corbin of Hogansville, Calvin and Kathy Corbin of Luthersville; daughter, Lisa Tiller of Riverdale; sisters, Carolyn Parker of Simpsonville, SC, Vera Chastain and Jeanette Sexton, both of Liberty, SC; brothers, James Chastain of Liberty, Clarence Chastain of Indianapolis, IN; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Tucker; daughter, Rachel Knight; son, Shirley Edmond Corbin; and grandchildren, Travis Corbin and Nancy Michelle Corbin.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jody Mitchell will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday.
