MRS. RUTH E. STEPHENS Mrs. Ruth Ella Stephens, 79, of Hogansville, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 11, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend James Calhoun will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Thursday night. Mrs. Stephens was born January 9, 1934, in Gadsden, Alabama, daughter of the late Marcus and Sally Holmes Windsor. She had lived in Hogansville since 1953 and was a member of Family Worship Center. She was a homemaker and for many years she assisted her late husband, James Stephens, in the operation of Stephens Lawnmower Sales and Service. Survivors include her sons and daughters in-law, Paul and Dana Stephens of LaGrange, Phillip Stephens, Richard and Bernice Stephens of Hogansville; sister, Wilda Minton of Gadsden, AL; grandchildren, Paula Flagg, John Stephens, Jake Stephens, and Kevin Stephens; and eight great-grandchildren. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Thursday night, January 10th, at Claude A.
