Ruth Toney Russell

MRS. RUTH T. RUSSELL Mrs. Ruth Toney Russell, 87, of LaGrange, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at Hospice LaGrange. Mrs. Russell was born March 21, 1923, in Randolph County, Alabama, daughter of the late Samuel and Hettie Jackson Toney. She lived in LaGrange most of her life, was Baptist by faith and was employed for many years at Valway Division of Milliken and Co., retiring from Uniroyal, Inc. in Hogansville. Survivors include her son, Terry B. Russell of LaGrange; sister, Opal T. Patterson of Macon; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hewlette Benson Russell. The family will host a memorial service at 6:00 p.m., Friday, December 17, at Southwest LaGrange Baptist Church and will receive friends from 5 until 6 at the church. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville was in charge of arrangements.
