Mrs. Ruth Clark Johns, 65, of Grantville, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Mrs. Johns was born August 5, 1954, in Coweta County, daughter of the late Render Terrell Clark and Ruby Smith Clark. A resident of Coweta County most of her life, she was employed at West Georgia RESA prior to her retirement and was a member of Peachtree City United Methodist Church. Ruth had centered her life around her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Johns of Grantville; daughter and son in-law, Crystal and Barry Boyd of Grantville; son and daughter in-law, Render and Zephie Freeman of Newnan; step-daughter, Rev. Dr. Shannon Karafanda and her husband John of Peachtree City; sister and brother in-law, Colleen and Roy Thompson of Hogansville; grandchildren, Stephen and Addie Boyd, Alex Boyd, Holly and Nic Hyatt, Matthew and Carson Boyd, Brighton Freeman, Bennett Freeman, Brooks Freeman, Adelyn Freeman, Lyndee Freeman, John Karafanda, Shane Karafanda, Dori Karafanda; and great-grandchildren, Baylee and Asher. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Buster Clark and Terrell Clark.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Rev. Jay Moore and Render Freeman will officiate and interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night.
