Ruth Owen Cochran

Mrs. Ruth Owen Cochran, 96, of Senoia, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017, at Southland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Peachtree City. Mrs. Cochran was born March 17, 1920, in Coweta County, daughter of the late Claude Martin Stevenson and Ida Daniel Stevenson. A resident of Senoia for 56 years, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Senoia and was retired from Playtex International in Newnan. Mrs. Cochran enjoyed flower gardening and maintaining the grounds at her home. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Milner Owen and Billy Joe Cochran and is survived by her sisters, Grace Pritchett and Emily Bee Milliner, both of Newnan. A number of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 19, at the graveside in the Senoia City Cemetery, with the Rev. Randall Hodge officiating. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
