MR. RUSSELL E. MILLER
Mr. Russell Edward Miller, 49, of Hogansville, died Saturday, August 2, 2014, at his home.
Born February 25, 1965 in LaGrange and a resident of Georgia most of his life, Mr. Miller lived in Louisiana for five years and in Kansas for five years. He had been employed at Georgia-Pacific in Durand, was a member of Baptist Tabernacle Church in LaGrange, and was a former member of First Baptist Church of Hogansville, where he had worked with the youth in AWANA. He had participated in Relay for Life and is remembered for sense of humor and his desire to make everyone laugh.
Survivors include his children, Sarah Miller of Hapeville, Brian Hudson and his wife, Becky of LaGrange, Cassie Boone and Lamar Stapler of LaGrange, and Tommy Hudson of Jacksonville, FL; his mother and step-father, Lana and Thomas Winkles of Hogansville; his father and step-mother, Larry Miller and Gay Cobb of Springfield, MO; sister, Sondra and Joe Lee of Hogansville; half-sister, Melanie and Jeff Haskers of Camdenton, MO; step-sister, Debbie and Randy Kee of Grantville; step-brother, Andy Winkles of Newnan; and grandchildren, Serena, Itallia, Collin, Damon, Andrew, and Ayden.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, at Baptist Tabernacle Church in LaGrange. Rev. Jimmy McMillian and Rev. Bobby Bozeman will officiate and interment will be in Hillview East Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Monday night and at the church from 1 until 2 Tuesday afternoon.
