Russell James Heiser

Russell James Heiser, 73, of West Point, GA and formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020, at his home. Mr. Heiser was born November 13, 1946, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Russell and Lucille Schell Heiser. A U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he lived in Pittsburgh most of his life and was employed by Advanced Auto Parts prior to his retirement. Mr. Heiser loved cars and anything car related. Survivors include his son and daughter in-law, Russell Jason and Joy Heiser of West Point, GA; daughter and son in-law, Traci and Greg Poole of Opelika, AL; step-daughter, Lynn and Ervin Freeman of Opelika; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family is not planning a service at this time. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
