Mr. Rufus Flournoy, 82, of the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Warm Springs Medical Center Nursing Home.
Mr. Flournoy was born March 11, 1938, in Coweta County, son of the late Edgar Jones Flournoy and Lena Tidwell Flournoy. He was a lifelong resident of Meriwether County, was an avid deer hunter, and enjoyed watching wrestling on television.
Survivors include his brother and sister in-law, Wayne and Teresa Flournoy of Rocky Mount; nieces, Rosemary and J. T. Butler of Roanoke, AL, Victoria and Robbie Miller of Senoia, Paula and Jimmy Rogers of Newnan; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Flournoy Bunn.
Friends are invited to join the family for a time of visitation and remembrance at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 13, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.
