Mr. Rudolph (Rudy) Rodriguez, 71, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017, at his home.
Mr. Rodriguez was born November 26, 1945, in San Antonio, Texas, son of the late Margarito and Stella Hernandez Rodriguez. Before making his home in Hogansville seven years ago, he lived in Florida for many years, was a former paramedic, and retired as a parts manager for Advance Auto Parts. He was a member of Hogansville Church of Christ, had been involved in the Big Brother Big Sisters of America, loved anything mechanical and was known to be able to fix anything.
Survivors include his wife, Sheridan Rodriguez of Hogansville; daughters, Debra Owen of Pleasanton, TX, Karen Lemere of Poteet, TX, Sonya Crider of Hogansville, Christy McManaway of Live Oak, FL, Dawn Scott of Somerset, KY; sons, Rudy Rodriguez of Portland, TX, John Rodriguez of Hogansville,, Chris Rodriguez and Alan Rodriguez, both of Warner Robins; sister, Linda Alvarado of Round Rock, TX; brother, Margarito Rodriguez, Jr. of Pleasanton, TX; 21 grandchildren, including Sheridan Wood whom he help raise; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Rodriguez and Robert Rodriguez.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 19, at the Hogansville Church of Christ, with Minister Brad Crider officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday.
