Ruby O'Neal Etheridge

MRS. RUBY ETHERIDGE Mrs. Ruby O'Neal Etheridge, 91, of Greenville, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Molena Nursing Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 9, at the graveside in the Luthersville Cemetery, with the Reverend Randall Hodge officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Thursday night. Mrs. Etheridge was born January 8, 1921, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late Jim and Mattie Belle Davis O'Neal. Before returning to Greenville in 1972, she lived in Columbus for 31 years, where she was employed by Kirven's Department Store. She was later employed at Bill's Dollar Store in Hogansville, was Methodist by faith, and was the wife of the late Charlie Grant Etheridge. Mrs. Etheridge is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, including her niece, Suzanne Ingram and her husband Larry; great-nephews, Joe Shelnutt and his wife, Cindy and David Shelnutt; and great-great-nephews, Nathan Shelnutt and Adrian Shelnutt, all of Greenville.
