MRS. RUBY BREED
Mrs. Ruby Culberson Breed, 89, of Hogansville, died Thursday, September 25, 2008, at Hospice LaGrange.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 27, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Randall Hodge and the Reverend Dorothy Herndon will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
Born March 13, 1919, in Hogansville, Mrs. Breed was the daughter of the late Johnny Ras Culberson and the late Georgia Spivey Culberson. She was a lifelong resident of Hogansville, was the wife of the late Nathan A. Breed, and retired from Uniroyal, Inc. after more than forty years service. She was the last surviving charter member of the Hogansville Church of God, where she has been an active and faithful member since the churchs founding in 1940.
Survivors include her sisters in-law, Mrs. Alma Culberson of Hogansville and Mrs. Vivian Breed of Lone Oak; and nieces and nephews, including Gloria and Charles Prather of Hogansville and Joyce and Donny Phillips of Grantville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hogansville Church of God, 221 Collier St., Hogansville, GA 30230.
The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
