Mrs. Rosie M. McNeal, 83, of Sharpsburg, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023, at her home.
Mrs. McNeal was born January 22, 1940, in Monticello, daughter of the late Volley E. Stephens and Georgia Cravey Stephens. She retired as a lunchroom assistant after serving 23 years in the Fayette County School System and 17 years in the Coweta County School System. Mrs. McNeal was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Moreland, enjoyed playing bingo, and was a faithful friend who loved everyone.
Survivors include her husband, Lamar "Buddy" McNeal of Sharpsburg; her children, Raymond Dwayne Martin of Franklin, Tammy Sharman (David) of Senoia, Jennifer Powell (Jerry) of Senoia, Danny Martin of Sharpsburg; step-children, Leslie McNeal, Jenee McNeal, Steven McNeal (April), all of Dawsonville; brothers, Alton Stephens of Abbeville, Ray Stephens and Walter Stephens, both of Newnan; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Coy Martin; great-grandson, Wyatt Sharman; three sisters, and two brothers,
A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, April 15, at Southside Baptist Church in Moreland, with Pastor Donny Shelton and Pastor David Huckaby officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15.
