MR. BUTCH SISTRUNK
Mr. Ronald C. (Butch) Sistrunk, 66, of Greenville, died Monday, December 17, 2012, at his home.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20, at Greenville Baptist Church. The Reverend Matt Hinesley and The Reverend Ed White will officiate and interment will be in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery in Durand.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night.
Mr. Sistrunk was born October 17, 1946, in Greenville, son of the late Jasper Curtis Sistrunk and Fannie Belle Pearson Sistrunk. An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a lifelong resident of Meriwether County and was a member of the VFW and Greenville American Legion Post #186. He was employed as an electrician for the Kex Plant of Milliken and Co. and for Goody's in Manchester, and was
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Sistrunk of Greenville; children, Dakota Bowen, Zachary Bowen, Elijah Bowen, Jenny and Wayne Daniel, Jeff and Sherry Bowen, Alton Bowen, Scott Bowen; grandchildren, Christi and Nicholas Bailey, Troy Daniel, Kyle Daniel, Heather Bowen, Danielle Bowen, Chris Bowen, Ashley Bowen, Austin Bowen; and eight great-grandchildren.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
