MR. RONALD P. HILL Mr. Ronald P. Hill, 65, of Hogansville, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 2, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Paul Botica and the Reverend Jody Mitchell will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 Sunday night. Mr. Hill was born September 30, 1946, in Hogansville, son of the late Alfred and Eddie Lee Ragsdale Hill. A veteran of service in the U.S. Marine Corps, he served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He had made his home in Troup County most of his life, attended Cedarcrest Community Church in LaGrange, and was employed by the City of Hogansville for many years as the water treatment plant operator and wastewater plant operator. Survivors include his wife, Margie Amason Hill of Hogansville; daughter, Jenna Barentine of Newnan; son, Caleb Hill of Hogansville; brothers, John Hill of Arlington, TX and Wendell Hill of LaGrange; grandson, Jayden Barentine; and several nieces and nephews. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 7 until 9 Sunday night, July 1st, at Claude A.
