Roger Madison Milliken

Mr. Roger M. Milliken, 84, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017, at his home. Mr. Milliken was born March 7, 1933, in Boston, Massachusetts, son of the late Roger H. Milliken and Mary Pope Milliken. A veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War, he served as a U. S. Air Force pilot for 14 years and attained the rank of Major. He lived in Memphis, Tennessee for many years, was a retired corporate pilot for Systems Analysts, Inc., and was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 875 in Memphis. Survivors include a dear friend, Irie Dell Whitt of Hogansville; daughter, Galynn Milliken Hogan of Fayetteville, NC; grandson, Kyle Martin Hogan of El Paso, TX; and a sister, Barbara Gernert of Wanesburg, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Loava Wilson Milliken and his brother, Robert P. Milliken. Interment was Friday, June 2, in West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Memphis, TN. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville was in charge of arrangements.
