Roger Dewayne Helton

Mr. Roger DeWayne Helton, 52, of LaGrange, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Helton was born June 20, 1968, in Newnan and lived in Troup and Coweta counties most of his life. He was employed as a carpenter and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his son and daughter in-law, Justin Mulliniks and Neely Scruggs of Hogansville; mother, Doris Jones of LaGrange; fiancée, Gwendolyn Digby of LaGrange; brothers, Charles Helton and Johnny Helton, also both of LaGrange; and twin grandchildren, Emersyn Mulliniks and Aiden Mulliniks. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Helton; and his brother, Christopher Helton. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 14, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend T. J. Boyd officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
