Roberta Layton Hudson

MRS. ROBERTA L. HUDSON Mrs. Roberta Layton Hudson, 96, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Westbury Medical Care Home in Jackson. Born August 24, 1916, in Swainsboro, she was the daughter of the late Egie and Maude Garland Layton. She moved to New York with her family when she was twelve years old and lived on Long Island most of her life. She was the wife of the late Henry W. Hudson, Sr., was a member of the Episcopal Church, and owned and operated Country Life Rest Home in Mount Sinai, NY for many years. Survivors include her son, Henry W. (Hank) Hudson, Jr. and his wife, Judy, of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements for a memorial service, which will be held in the spring, will be announced by Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home.
