Roberta Flournoy Gaddy

MRS. ROBERTA F. GADDY Mrs. Roberta Flournoy Gaddy, 88, of Hogansville, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Friday, March 18, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jody Mitchell will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Thursday night. Mrs. Gaddy was born September 1, 1922, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late Thomas and Eva Flournoy. A member of the Presbyterian Church, she had lived at Hogansville for 66 years, was retired from Uniroyal, Inc., and was a very talented seamstress. Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Shiflett of Hogansville and Diane Clay of Woodbury; son, Charles (Buddy) Gaddy of Hogansville; sisters, Alice Tidwell of Newnan; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram W. Gaddy, and her daughter, Polly Banks. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Thursday night, March 17th, at Claude A.
