Robert Wayne Wright

Mr. Wayne Wright, 67, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016, at his home. Mr. Wright was born January 28, 1949, in Hogansville, and lived in Troup County all of his life. An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a retired building and insulation contractor. He was a former rescue diver and volunteer for the Troup County Fire Department, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Lil Wright of Hogansville; daughters and sons in-law, Shelly and Mike Hendrix, Sherry and Jeff Oglesby, all of LaGrange; his mother, Betty Dorrough Wright of LaGrange; sister and brother in-law, Becky and Doug Crow of Hogansville; grandchildren, Levi Hand, Courtney Hand, Dawson Holloway, Hunter Bass, Robert Hand, Logan Hand; and a great-grandson, Jase Hand. He was preceded in death by his father, James P. Wright. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Monday, February 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jody Mitchell will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery, with military honors. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
