MR. ROBERT D. WEIR Mr. Robert D. Weir, 83, of Hogansville and formerly of Newnan, died Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Colonial Guest Home in Franklin. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 7, in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Mark Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 Sunday afternoon. Mr. Weir was born July 21, 1929, in Newnan, son of the late Ervin and Carrie Estep Weir. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he lived in Coweta County most of his life before making his home in Hogansville in 2004. He was a retired truck driver. Survivors include his daughters and sons in-law, Karen Weir and Alfonso Flores of Franklin, Katrina and Mike Gazaway of Hogansville; sons and daughter in-law, Christopher and Amanda Weir of Elk Horn City, KY, Stephen Weir of Franklin, Michael Weir of Montgomery, AL, Anthony Weir of Anniston, AL; sister, Barbara Mote of Weatherford, TX; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
