Mr. Robert Lamar "Bobby" Thomas, Jr., 69, of Loganville, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017, at Clearview Regional Medical Center in Monroe.
Mr. Thomas was born September 5, 1947, in Hogansville, son of the late Robert Lamar Thomas and Geraldine Hipp Thomas Brown. A veteran of service in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War, he lived in Clayton County for 32 years before making his home in Loganville in 2016. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Riverdale and retired as a store manager for Firestone Tire and Rubber after many years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Stephens Thomas; daughter, Stephanie Carnevale; and grandson, Lorenzo Carnevale, all of Loganville. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Debra Knox and Donna Overdorf.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 26, at First Baptist Church of Riverdale, with Dr. Jeffrey C. Lowe officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 2 Saturday afternoon.
