Mr. Robert D. Taylor, 71, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

Mr. Taylor was born March 20, 1952, in Portsmouth, Ohio, son of the late Warren and Anna Louise Winters Taylor. A resident of Meriwether County since 2012, he retired as a fork-lift operator, was a talented musician, and could play violin, guitar, banjo, and the Dowbro.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Virginia Taylor of Greenville; sons, Robert and Andra Bayles of Hogansville, Daniel and Michelle Bayles of Marion, OH, and Paul Taylor of Franklin; seven grandchildren, including Warren Ray Taylor whom he had raised as a son, and Bobby, Alicia, Shelby, Madison, Alin, and Ashley; seven great-grandchildren; and his brother, Charles Taylor. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Brooks; and his brothers, Warren Taylor and Vernon Taylor.

The family will receive friends at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Saturday, February 17.
