MR. ROBERT E. NASH
Mr. Robert E. Nash, 87, of Grantville, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at Ansley Park Health and Rehabilitation in Newnan.
Mr. Nash was born March 1, 1927, in Marion County, son of the late Rollins and Scottie Plant Nash. A resident of Coweta County most of his life, he was a member of Moreland First Baptist Church and retired from William L. Bonnell Co. after 32 years of service. He had 60 years of service to the fraternal order of Masonry in Georgia, and was a member of Bigham Lodge #53 in Moreland. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite of Valley of Columbus, was a member of the Shrine Temple of Atlanta, was a member of the LaGrange Shrine Club, and made 25 trips to the Shriners Hospital for Children Burn Center in Cincinnati.
Survivors include his wife, June McCollum Nash of Grantville; sons and daughters in-law, Hugh and Alice Nash of Grantville, Dennis and Kelly Nash of Sharpsburg; grandchildren, Ryan Nash of Newnan, Brittany Stevenson of Sharpsburg; great-grandchildren, Jacob Nash and Zane Nash; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 25, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Daniel Ausbun and the Reverend Jay Moore officiating. Interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 9 Wednesday night.
