Robert Lee Mclendon

MR. ROBERT L. McLENDON Mr. Robert Lee McLendon, 60, of Grantville, died Sunday, April 5, 2009, at his home. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jimmy Evans will officiate and interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery. Born March 14, 1949, in Coweta County, Mr. McLendon was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and retired as a truck driver from Brown Steel Company. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Fairburn. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Bass McLendon of Grantville; daughters and son in-law, Tammy and Greg Storey of Moreland, Sheila McLendon and Connie McLendon, both of Grantville; son and daughter in-law, Robert L., Jr. and Christy McLendon, also of Grantville; his mother, Mildred McLendon of Newnan; sister, Kitty Turner of Milner; brother, Roger McLendon of Newnan; and six grandchildren. The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Tuesday, April 7th, at Claude A.
