MR. BARRY McCOY Mr. Robert Barry McCoy, 53, of the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County, died Friday, March 9, 2012, at his home. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 11, at Bethel Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, with Dr. Gary Howard and the Reverend Kenneth Whitlock officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. Born September 18, 1958 in Warm Springs, Mr. McCoy was a lifelong resident of Meriwether County. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and had been employed as a heavy equipment mechanic for McCoy Grading Company. Survivors include his daughters and sons in-law, Ashley and Jay Conner of Rocky Mount, Renee and Nick Wilson of Jacksonville, NC; his father, Wilbur J. McCoy of Rocky Mount; sisters and brothers in-law, Becky and Charles Bryan of Greenville, Beth and Ron Gay of Bowdon; brothers and sister in-law, Alfred J. (Buster) and Tressa McCoy, Bruce McCoy, and Bryan McCoy, all of Rocky Mount; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Helen Washington McCoy.
