Robert Allen (Bob) Crawford

MR. BOB CRAWFORD Mr. Robert Allen (Bob) Crawford, 64, of Ellenwood and formerly of Hogansville, died Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Kindred Hospital in Atlanta. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with the Reverend Clinton Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 3 Tuesday afternoon. Born December 2, 1947, in Griffin, Mr. Crawford was the son of the late W. A. (Bill) Crawford and Kate Smith Crawford. He lived in Hogansville until 1992 and had attended Happy Haven School in LaGrange, where his mother had served as a teacher. During the 1960's, his father was instrumental in establishing a statewide network of services for special needs individuals. Survivors include his brothers, Ronnie Cheek of Roopville and Chester Cheek of Griffin. In addition, the family would like to express sincere appreciation to his caregivers, especially, Lameiar Pinckney-Tripp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity or church of the donors choosing.
