MR. COLEMAN BROWN
Mr. Coleman Brown, 74, of Hogansville, died Sunday, October 16, 2011, at West Georgia Medical Center.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, at Franklin Road Baptist Church in LaGrange. The Reverend Andy Buchanan and the Reverend Frank Sledge will officiate and interment will be in Elim Baptist Church Cemetery in Coweta County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night.
Mr. Brown was born April 29, 1937, in Heard County, son of the late Levi and Eva Roberts Brown. A former resident of Newnan, he had lived at Hogansville since 1987 and retired from Douglas and Lomason Co. in Newnan after 33 years of service. He was a deacon and active member of Franklin Road Baptist Church, and was formerly a member and lay leader of Emory Chapel United Methodist Church in Coweta County.
Survivors include his wife, Joann Brown of Hogansville; daughters and sons in-law, Penny and Ken Martin of Loganville, Kristy and Kerry Wegienka of Hogansville; son and daughter in-law, Jeff and Cheryl Brown of Rome; sisters, Inez Robinson of Newnan, Jean Eason of LaGrange, Marion Glass of Moreland; brother, Kenneth Brown of Griffin; five grandchildren, Shannon and Mike Cafarelli, Robert Martin, Anna Wegienka, Tayler Brown, and Logan Wegienka; and a great-grandson, Caleb Cafarelli. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy Brown.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
